The Aggie Innovation Space

Las Cruces, NM

We provided structural engineering services for the Aggie Innovation Space Addition at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The project expanded the College of Engineering’s advanced manufacturing and innovation facilities by transforming an exterior storage area at Engineering Complex I into a dedicated space for hands-on learning, research, and technology development.

The 6,600-square-foot addition features steel-framed construction designed to support manufacturing laboratories, project rooms, classrooms, equipment spaces, and collaborative work areas. The structural systems accommodate open manufacturing environments and specialized equipment loads while integrating with the existing Engineering Complex.

Close coordination with the architectural, mechanical, and electrical teams helped align the structural design with the facility’s operational needs while providing flexibility for evolving technologies and future uses.
