Stubbs Engineering provided structural design services for the Mexican American Cultural Center (The MACC), a vibrant new facility celebrating Mexican American art, culture, and community.

The MACC features a diverse array of spaces, including an auditorium, black box theatre, dance and acting studio, main and community galleries, teaching and commercialkitchens, art classrooms, media arts and maker spaces, a recording studio, an artist-in-residence studio, and a rooftop terrace. Each area was designed withstructural solutions that balance functionality, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal.

Keystructural highlights include expansive column-free galleries, vibration-controlled studios, and acoustically isolated spaces for recording and performing arts. The rooftop terrace, a standout feature, was engineered tosupport community events while offering stunning views. The use of innovative structural systems ensured the facility met the architect’s vision, optimizedcost efficiency, and delivered reliable results.
