ABOUT YOU

As a Junior Engineer in Training, you will embark on an exciting journey of professional growth, contributing to a variety of engineering tasks under the guidance of experienced mentors. You’ll gain hands-on experience in routine engineering activities while honing your technical skills. Occasionally, you may have the opportunity to communicate designs and collaborate directly with our clients, building your confidence and expertise in client relations. This role is designed to lay the foundation for your engineering career, providing you with the tools and support to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Perform basic calculations using engineering principles and techniques, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Assist in fieldwork under the guidance of experienced team members, gaining hands-on experience in engineering operations.
  • Communicate engineering designs to drafters for integration into construction documents on straightforward projects.
  • Conduct standard computations and analyses to support project development.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, contributing to the success of shared goals.

Requirements

EDUCATION & LICENSURE
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or plans to take the exam.
  • Registerted Engineer in Training (EIT) for Engineer Intern (EI) in their home state depending on FE status.
  • A driver’s license and clean driving record.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Foundational understanding of civil enginering principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering equipment, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn in a team environment.
SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY

As a modern engineering firm, we utilize a variety of software tools to enhance our productivity and service delivery. For this role, proficiency in the following software is highly beneficial. Training on these software tools will be providd to support your professional development.
