Chase Pecans Plant Expansion
In partnership with PSRBB Architects
To support Chase Pecans’ growing production capacity and operational efficiency, Stubbs Engineering provided structural engineering for the expansion of their processing plant in San Saba, Texas. The project included a series of purpose-built facilities, each tailored to meet the rigorous demands of high-volume food processing, storage, and material handling.
Through close coordination with project partners and leveraging advanced engineering tools—including finite element analysis and 3D modeling—we delivered integrated, high-performance structural systems designed to withstand significant thermal, static, and vibrational loads.
Project Scope
Processing Plant Expansion
We engineered pit foundations and an elevator pit to anchor critical processing equipment with long-term stability and durability.
Cracking & Shelling Area (11,250 sq. ft.)
Custom mezzanines and supports were designed to accommodate heavy mechanical loads and optimize operational flow.
Heat Treatment Room (12,500 sq. ft.)
This space required structural systems capable of withstanding high thermal stress and vibration, ensuring both safety and reliability.
Storage Building (16,000 sq. ft.)
We conducted detailed vibration analyses and engineered foundations and framing to support equipment with continuous high-frequency output.
Structural Support Highlights
- Steam Treatment Room Beam Systems
Precision-designed beams to support the facility’s steam manifold system. - Scalder Leg Supports
