Stubbs Engineering provided structural design services, under an open-ended contract, for the City of Las Cruces. We designed a plan to remove the existing wood columns in an open atrium area of The Amador Hotel and replace them with steel columns to increase the live-load capacity of the second floor. We worked with the historic preservations office to convert the historic building from a bank into a meeting/convention space.
