Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for student’s who are currently enrolled in school to become a Structural Engineering Intern.


ABOUT YOU


As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will engage in a variety of routine engineering tasks under the close supervision of a professional engineer. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the design and analysis of structural components and systems, preparing detailed drawings and specifications. You will also support the team in performing calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. Additionally, you will collaborate with other engineers and drafting technicians to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a real-world engineering environment.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Required to perform basic calculations using engineering principles and techniques with the use
    of equipment and materials used in engineering operations.
  • Regularly performs entry level duties in the field under the direction of an experienced
    employee.
  • Develops, prepares and/or reviews engineering plans, designs, reports, or studies to identify
    engineering solutions under the supervision of a professional engineer.
  • Communicates engineering designs to drafters for incorporation into the construction
    documents on simple projects.
  • Performs standard computations and analysis.
  • Performs tasks in a team environment.

SEASONAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We offer part-time internships available during the Spring, Fall, and Summer seasons.

Requirements

EDUCATION & LICENSURE

  • Opportunity to pursue a part-time internship while working towards a bachelors or masters degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Completion of courses in Mechanics of Materials and Structural Analysis is required.
  • FE licensure is encouraged but not mandatory.
