Southern New Mexico Advanced Business and Technology Education Center Exterior Learning Canopy- Alamogordo, NM

The 600 sq.ft. canopy is part of the Renewable Energy Program at NMSU-Alamogordo. Students in the Renewable Energy Program use the canopy to install a real photovoltaic system and tie into the Grid. Stubbs Engineering provided the designs for the foundation, exterior and load bearing walls, roof framing as well as a Safety Cable System for students.

Las Cruces City Hall Solar Panels- Las Cruces, NM

This project consists of developing two steel frames that are roughly 30ft x 110ft that is supported by 5 wide flange columns. The structure is supported by an existing concrete parking garage. This structure is retrofitted to withstand the new loads from the solar structure.

NAI 1st Valley Solar Car Port- Las Cruces, NM

A 25 kW photovoltaic system was installed as part of a parking lot car port structure. Stubbs Engineering designed the frame that consists of concrete columns and steel supports. This project is immediately next to a retaining wall which retains as much as 8 feet of soil. A special foundation was required to not increase the load on the wall.

Las Cruces Truck Farms Solar Panels- Las Cruces, NM

We performed a structural investigation on the roof top framing of the retail shop to determine if the existing structure could withstand the forces of gravity, wind, seismic, and snow loads and comply with IBC codes for a new 24.9 kW photovoltaic solar panels to be installed. The structure was found to be in inadequate, but Stubbs Engineering worked with the owner and contractor to upgrade the existing structure.

Regency Pointe Apartments- Las Cruces, NM

Stubbs Engineering preformed a field investigation to provide As-Built drawings. We also provided a structural analysis of the existing structure of the Regency Point Apartments to accommodate a 28.78 kW flush mount Solar System. We provided an analysis of the existing structures based on the new loads and connections details for attaching the solar panels to the roof.
